Hi friends, its been long time I've not posted any thing on my blog, the reason being that I got a new job and am busy working these days :D
Todays recipe is dry bombay duck curry. I like this curry, the dried fish does have a strong or unpleasnt odour :( but when cooked it tates really good. This is the other way my mum cooks them and I always relished this curry.
7-8 dry bombay ducks,
1 potato- peeled, washedand cut in cubes,
1 tspn ginger garlic paste,
1 onion- sliced horizontally,
1 medium tomato chopped,
1-2 kokum,
chilly pwd,
turmeric pwd,
jeera pwd.
Method:-
First clean the fish,,remove any fins tail and head if any. Wash lightly and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add the onion and fry,, when onion is softened add the ginger garlic paste, fry. Add the spice pwds, tomato, potato add some water, cover and cook till the potatoes are 3/4 cooked. Finally add the dry bombay ducks and the kokum and cook till the potatoes and fish are done. Some more water can be added if gravy is desired.
