Malwani Chicken Curry

I found this recipe long time back and I prepared this curry a few times and everytime it is better than the previous time.I found the recipe while browsing the internet. If I am not mistaken the recipe is shared by Niru Gupta.I have never tasted or even seen how malwani curry is but this curry is really delicious. It is very easy and doesn't need much effort.

Ingredients:
1 chicken-cleaned washed and cut into pieces,
1 tspn cumin seeds,
1 tbspn coriander seeds,
2-3 dried red chillies,
1 cup cocunut grated,
1 cup onions grated,
2tspn ginger garlic paste,
1 tspn turmeric pwd,
tamarind pulp from 20 gms tamarind,
1 cup coconut cream,(I used dried coconut pwd dissolved in water)
salt to taste

Method:
Dry roast the cumin seeds, coriander seeds and the chillies.keep aside,I dry roasted the coconut too this time though the actual recipe doesn't say so. Take them off the pan and grind them to a paste along with the grated cocunut.
Heat oil and add the onions and ginger garlic paste. Saute till onions are brown. Add the chicken the chicken over high heat and saute till opaque.
Add the ground paste, salt and turmeric pwd and saute till fat seperates.
Add water to cover , bring to a boil, than lower the heat and cook till chicken is tender.
Add the tamarind pulp and coconut cream, simmer for a few minutes and serve.
