Today is ....
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY.
In the United Kingdom , 11th of November commemorates those who died fighting in the world war 1, world war 2 and other wars. Remembrance Sunday is the second Sunday or the Sunday nearest to the 11th November,i.e, Remembrance Day. It is also known as Poppy Day.
This day marks the anniversary of the armistice (truce) that ended the First World War in 1918. Many people wear a red flower or poppies in memory of those who died..The poppy emblem was chosen because of the poppies that bloomed across some of the worst battlefields during World War I, their red colour being an appropriate symbol for the bloodshed during the wars.
Although this is not an official feast , this special day is set aside to remember those men and women who died in the two world wars and other conflicts...

Thats true, a day to salute the people who sacrificed their life in the war.
